Basic Rotation Allows for a quick configuration of your rotation that will meet most of your general needs of auto-assignment. However, if you would like to configure the rotation for your more specific needs, you could switch to an Advanced rotation by clicking the button on the top right of your screen.
· Name: Let us call it ‘Demo Rotation’.
· Time Zone: The time zone is selected automatically based on the user’s profile and activities.
· Fill in Start Date and Start Time as per requirement.
· Fill in the End Date and End Time as per requirement.
· Perpetual End Date: Select this option for instances in which end dates are uncertain and not clearly delineated.
· Rotation Type: Choose between Fixed Rotation or Distributed Rotation.
· Rotation Status: An indicator of whether the rotation is currently enabled or disabled.
· Interval unit: Enter the number of days, hours or minutes ( only in multiples of 5)
· Participant and Participant Group:
For this category, the project manager is at liberty to select either individual team members or a group of team members. This means, if they want to involve other technicians beyond individual participants, the app allows them to select an entire group of users on a specific instance.
Please note:
· The ‘Participant Group’ field is not mandatory if the admin adds individual participants.
· In the event that the admin selects 1 group and 1 participant, the configuration will include the individual participant in addition to the group members, assuming they are unique.
· Rotation Colour: The calendar provides a full view of how team members are placed as per their allotted schedules.
· Day/ Week/ Month Calendar View of Rotation Configuration:
In this demo, red represents Distributed Rotation assignment for 4 team members, while green represents Fixed Rotation assignment for 3 team members.
· Let us consider a random date: July 19, for instance. The view reveals that for the first 4 hours tickets were assigned to A, then to B, and finally to C.
